The first idea that popped into one of our group member's head's for the arduino project was a golden nugget. Nate, who has background with the arduino device, suggested that we build a car that that runs off of a small motor powered by the arduino board. The parts for this car can be 3-D printed, and made out of a plastic material for example, polystyrene. Also, at the disposal of our team is a laser cutter. To make use of the 3-D printer and laser cutter, the parts will designed on solid works. A car interests our team the most because the goal is to create a device that interacts with the outside world. A toy car fits that goal and there will be plenty of online resources to assist us in the build.
